What is there beyond our universe?
Nearby, the stars and galaxies we see look very much like our own. In our own backyard, the Universe is full of stars. But go more than about 100,000 light years away, and you’ve left the Milky Way behind. Beyond that, there’s a sea of galaxies: perhaps two trillion in total contained in our observable Universe.
Is there an end to the universe?
The end result is unknown; a simple estimation would have all the matter and space-time in the universe collapse into a dimensionless singularity back into how the universe started with the Big Bang, but at these scales unknown quantum effects need to be considered (see Quantum gravity).
What happens at the edge of the universe?
The edge of the observable universe cannot keep up with the expansion of the universe so that many galaxies are eternally beyond our observation. Despite this limitation on observational abilities, the universe itself still has no edge.

Is the space infinite?
The universe, being all there is, is infinitely big and has no edge, so there’s no outside to even talk about. Oh, sure, there’s an outside to our observable patch of the universe. The cosmos is only so old, and light only travels so fast. The current width of the observable universe is about 90 billion light-years.
Where is edge of space?
The edge of space is often defined by the so-called Kármán line, at 62 miles. Unlike Unity, the New Shepard capsule is designed to fly above the Kármán line, even though the Federal Aviation Administration and the Air Force recognize a lower boundary for the edge of space, at 50 miles.
Can we see the entire universe?
Why can’t we see the whole universe? We can see just about as far as nature allows us to see. Therefore light from MOST of the galaxies in the universe has not yet had time to reach us. Second, the universe has been expanding with time.

Does time ever end?
“ Time is unlikely to end in our lifetime, but there is a 50% chance that time will end within the next 3.7 billion years,” they say. That’s not so long! It means that the end of the time is likely to happen within the lifetime of the Earth and the Sun. At least, not for another 3.7 billion years.
Why is space black?
Because space is a near-perfect vacuum — meaning it has exceedingly few particles — there’s virtually nothing in the space between stars and planets to scatter light to our eyes. And with no light reaching the eyes, they see black.
